On the night of March 14th, 2023, I dreamed of a battered grey hovel on a bluff at the ocean’s edge. There lived in that hovel, an old hermit, who kept cattle in a dreary pasture. With leery eyes, he gave me a secret; something he wasn’t supposed to have, which he seemed to fear some unseen eye might glimpse in my hands.
It was an unformed Oscar statuette, like a long blob of gold clay on a pedestal. I knew what it was supposed to be when I saw it, but it was plainly unfinished.
The next morning, I saw I had received a message the same night. It happened to mention the subreddit r/SaturnStormCube, which, on a whim, I visited. That was how I happened upon this post about Ptah, the Egyptian craftsman god.
Whatever psychic activity led me to this discovery was so far ahead of my conscious mind that it was able to answer questions I did not even know enough to ask.
Here was the demiurge (literally: “craftsman”) at the academy awards. Some occult magnetism led me to a link between the symbolism of films and movies which came up during the constellation experience and the symbolism of the Artifex. For me to make the same connection on my own would have taken months of groping in the dark at the absolute minimum.
I am an unstudious, uneducated and unserious trifler — a three-time education dropout. I am not diligently seeking these things out. I’ve simply acquired a peculiar knack for glancing in the right direction.
A similar phenomenon occurred with the “Dryden pen” incident which I recounted in Holographic Platonism, during Contact 2020 (obviously), and the Quaternity Test.
I dubbed these providential arrangements of meaningful elements teloconfigurations, but a better term might be “anamorphicon” — an anamorphic icon.
Such things appear to me and many friends and acquaintances at a rate which is, to be frank, statistically impossible under the rules of common sense causation.
So what’s actually happening? In order to explain this, we need to amend some misconceptions about time.
Time is not actually linear — time is a manifold. I am indebted to a zine bearing the same name for bringing this concept to my attention. Time is locally linear, but globally non-linear in the same way that the Earth is locally flat, but globally spherical.
In a sentence: the paths between causes and effects are curved.
To illustrate, let’s represent the sequence of events connecting the prefiguration (the dream: A) and the anamorphicon (the discovery: Ω) as a segment of film:
To explain this phenomenon, we bend the timeline in such a way that the dream and the realization (an apt word here) are adjacent.
Now imagine a discharge of “static electricity” flashes from Ω to A, thereby inseminating A with an anticipatory image of Ω.
This retrocausal “lightning bolt” effectively turns the curved timeline into a causal loop. I call this autopoietic structure a “teleological circuit” and networks of these form the “hardware” that runs the “software” we called teleological objects.
My friend Seele pointed out that these structures resemble horseshoe magnets, while I spotted a resemblance to John Wheeler's "universe as a self-excited circuit."
You receive an exam from your future self who answered every question correctly. You study it, write the exam, answer every question correctly, then send the marked exam back to your past self, closing the circuit. Where did the answers originate?
This type of scenario, dubbed a “bootstrap paradox,” is obviously hypothetical. However it’s clearly analogous to a very real psychic ability which a number of us seem to rapidly be getting the hang of.
Such a scenario hearkens back to the original meaning of the word “eternal” which is: “without end or beginning.”
Such paradoxes don’t work with physical objects. Replace the test answers with an ice cream cone and it all breaks down. By the time you receive the ice cream cone, it’s already been passed down through an infinite number of iterations and will no longer be an ice cream cone. Only something immaterial can close the circuit. It must be beyond space, time and form.
The TO — represented here by exam answers — has particular instantiations within the time loop (the aced exam, perhaps some study notes and your memory), but none of them can rightly be said to be the TO which is transcendent and Platonic.
The “object” is in a sense, a property of the “terrain” formed by all possible timelines. We can extend our electrical metaphor even further and imagine that the causal path from A to Ω and then back to A represents a “path of least resistance” like one carved out by a river, or followed by a bolt of lightning.
If we use the Rubik’s Cube analogy from last time, this path is equivalent to what is called God’s algorithm which “refers to any algorithm which produces a solution having the fewest possible moves.“
This is why the teleological circuit looks exactly like a diagram of a wormhole.
