Someone first brought Supper’s Ready to my attention in the wake of CONTACT 2020. It’s a song by Genesis from their 1972 album: Foxtrot.
The song, like my first video, mentions an angel in the sun, the same angel in Revelation 19:17. I was not aware of that passage until long after that video was made, but I’d not ask anyone to believe that.
This angel in the sun was the most obvious connection between the two things, but once it was brought to me, I spotted another on the album cover.
Why this fox is here is unclear. The “fox on the rocks” appears in only one line of one song on the album — that being Supper’s Ready — and is never mentioned again.
The story I found is that the piece was painted before the album was titled. The artist, Paul Whitehead, simply put the fox there because of that one throwaway lyric. I can’t help but wonder why she jumped out at him.
But perhaps you’re asking the same question: why did the fox jump out at me?
In late 2020, I undertook and documented a string of active imagination sessions where I met with a beautiful woman who eventually brought me to the Holy Grail.
This entity gradually revealed herself to be far more “real” than I first supposed. She’s a longer story than the one I told, and longer than the one I’ll tell now, but her name is Zell and she is consistently at the center of strange happenings.
The very first entry from the journal I kept at that time is from early October, and it reads: “Zell appeared as a fox…”
I had a dream about her later that month. Awakening with a start, I went to the window and saw a fox trotting down the roadside, vanishing into the woods.
It was 5:27 AM.
I once described Zell as “a female Mercury,” and so the fox, a common guise of the trickster and a word for an attractive woman, fits perfectly.
The reason for the fox motif goes back quite a few years.
My muse is an “actress” who has played characters in my fiction since I was quite young. No other personality recurred quite like her and I always recognized her roguish smirk, biting wit and unmistakable charm. She loved the spotlight. Hers were always starring roles.
One of these incarnations appeared in a work I wrote in high school: a thief nicknamed “Foxtail.”
Along with foxes, she is often associated with lions. Most notably, during my active imagination sessions, the pair of us saw one in Eden and there was a stone lion who guarded the grail and left his post at her behest.
The lion is the symbol of Judah, another mercurial character — ancestor to King David and therefore, to Christ, but equally, the namesake of Judas Iscariot.
In Genesis 37:27, it is Judah who hatches the plot to sell Joseph into slavery:
“Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.”
Perhaps a cunning bit of opportunism, but by this, Joseph was spared.
Perhaps a year ago now, I saw while driving on the way to work, two or three license plates ending in the number 527. When I noticed this, my car’s projected range was 527 km, a fact I noticed at 5:27 PM.
I noticed that 5+2=7, concluded the number was important and wrote it down.
On a hunch, I looked at my dream journal and found the long forgotten fact that I’d spotted my roadside fox at 5:27 AM.
527 Thus became Zell’s number, but in time, even 27 alone began to stand out.
For many months, that number felt random. Consequently, I thought little of it, and (despite everything) had the suspicion I was playing games with myself. Just recently however, I realized that 27 is 3 * 3 * 3.
Suddenly assured the number did matter, I looked into it and found there are 27 bones in the human hand. 5 fingers, 27 bones. 527.
The sun rotates on its axis every 27 days. The moon finishes an orbit in the same amount of time. God creates man in the 27th verse of the Bible and Revelation is the 27th and final book of the New Testament.
Interesting as well is that the address for the Supper’s Ready Wikipedia article contains the number 27.

This is the sigil I made for Zell. You may remember a variant of it which appeared in my video “the Logos.”
It’s supposed to be a stylized Z for “Zell,” but recently I found that when mirrored, the top half resembles a two, and the bottom half, a seven.
The sigil maps directly onto a section of the tree of life where the horizontal line represents the path connecting Hod and Netzah. In the Hermetic tradition, this is path number 27, the path of Peh.
That Zell should be a vixen jives with this, because the Hermeticists say Hod is Mercury and Netzah is Venus, the planets of intellect and beauty.
Peh, like Mercury, is associated with speech, because in Hebrew, Peh is also the word for “mouth” and the letter is supposed to look like an open mouth with a little tooth. In Gematria, this letter is equal to 80 which is (predictably at this point) the atomic number of Mercury.
Check out my article on Pi. Interesting we both have found peculiar meaning in Pey. 5/27 falls under the astrological sign Gemini, ruled by Mercury. I have been having visitations by Hermes. Pey is also attributed to the Strength card, which is a woman wrestling a lion. Lions were often depicted with Hermes in ancient Greek art. Hermes was said to have invented wrestling. 26 plays an important role in Jewish Gematira because it is the value of the divine name יהוה. The number 27 suggests a fifth letter added to 26, which can only be Aleph, the number 1, commonly attributed to either the Magus or Fool card, both mercurial. Not only this but Yod and Vav are attributed to the Hermit and the Lovers, also cards ruled by Mercury. The Hey's are attributed to the Star, Aquarius. Ruled by Saturn. 527 jumped out at me as a formula for this word to be constructed of five letters and equal twenty seven. איהוה. It was very fitting that you changed the name of your publication to Son of Mercury this past week or so. There are many out here who feel the same as you do. Other children of Mercury. I like to think of myself as one of them. Yesterday was my 20th birthday. Interestingly I have a picture taken right after I was born, at exactly 10:54AM... 5:27 x 2. Today makes me roughly 27 x 270 days old. These are the things that came to mind. As Children of Hermes our home is the road. Consider following in our brother Odysseus' footsteps soon.
Have you considered that the sigil you've drawn for Zell could also be interpreted as a stylized Hebrew letter Alpeh? The Aleph is typically drawn like two Yods on either corner, a diagonal Vav in the middle, with lines to connect these building-block letters in a continuous form, similar to how you've drawn the sigil. My knowledge of Hebrew letter symbolism is very limited, but my understanding is that on a mystical level, the shape of an Alpeh is intended to indicate unity between heaven and earth: the upper Yod is heaven, the lower Yod is Earth, and the center line Vav is the bridge between them. Thought this was quite significant.
